What have million dollar professional athletes and Oscar winning movie stars found to rejuvenate and revitalize their bodies?  A very unique deep freeze!

The procedure is called Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) which uses a Cryosauna machine to mix very cold liquid nitrogen with air and pumps the mixture into a tall, body-size cylinder. A person stands inside the Cryosauna wearing booties, gloves and a birthday suit as this very cold air mixture envelope their body for 2 to 3 minutes. And the temperature inside is… minus 220 degrees Fahrenheit!

WBC has been used on over 4 million people in Europe and just within the last five years has made its way to our shores. Users report that the experience is invigorating and improves a variety of conditions such as psychological stress, insomnia, rheumatism, muscle and joint pain, fibromyalgia, itching, and psoriasis.

Dr. Oz had the Cryosauna machine on his show to demonstrate how it works and evaluate its benefits, and gave his complete approval saying; “New, expanded forms of cold therapy can be very helpful for folks who have debilitating pain and inflammation.” After the demonstration Dr. Oz said; “What we want to do on the show is spread the word when we hear about things other people around the world have used. We want to bring it here and show you. This (the Cryosauna) is used quite frequently in Europe for many years and it is now available in the United States.  It’s a sensible thing to try out if you’re having a lot of pain.”

Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) has now arrived to Palm Beach County, at the County Line Plaza in Tequesta at the iceland Cryo office.

People ask me how I got involved with this “crazy deep freeze” and I explain that my wife and family are from Lithuania. We visit family and friends there often and in 2008 we traveled to the spa resort town of Druskininkai on the Neman River in southern Lithuania, where we both tried the Cryosauna and after four sessions we were amazed at how well we felt…rejuvenated and revitalized.

Last year, my back ached after a bad golf swing and I sought to find a local Cryosauna office, only to discover the closest ones are in Miami and Orlando.  After traveling to Europe to investigate first-hand the three most popular models of the Cryosauna machine and much research on WBC, I decided to buy a machine for my home. But, the boss said; “If you buy it, you will make a business of it.”  So much for golfing now.

So, I embarked on my journey to build a suitable and Avant-garde office for my Cryosauna.  I enlisted the help of Mr. Shannon Miller, the Technical Director of Maltz Jupiter Theatre to create the design concept and space plans. Then Mr. James Stergas, Architect took the reins to create the working drawings. As a team we worked hand-in-glove with the Village of Tequesta Building and Fire Departments to ensure complete code compliance. I hired Mr. Eric Meister as my General Contractor to bring my vision to reality and on January 15, 2015 we opened the iceland Cryo office.

Whole Body Cryotherapy is such a unique if not exotic procedure; I invite you to learn as much as you can online to see if WBC can help you. Our iceland Cryo office is located at 590 North U.S. Hwy 1, Tequesta in the County Line Plaza next door east of “Rocky’s Ace Hardware”. Hours are Monday to Friday 10AM to 6PM and Saturday 10AM to 4PM. Sundays and after hours by appointment made 24 hours prior. Call our office for information and appointments at (561) 315-3434.

Over the coming months I will be writing articles here in the Beacon about how WBC works on the human body, and why WBC has become such a powerful new method for rejuvenation.

Yours for good health,

Edison Kiela

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious
what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having
a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart
so I’m not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bill, I had a surgery on my L4-5 where an X-Stop was installed. I have many clients with back operations and all appear to be doing well after Cryo treatments since they keep coming back for more treatments and pain relief.
