The Cold That Soothes ACUTE and CHRONIC Inflammation.
Basically, there are two types of inflammation. Acute inflammation is a brief inflammatory response to an injury or illness that only lasts a few days or weeks, such as; a sprained ankle, bacterial or viral infections, sun burn, and cuts. The signs of inflammation are pain, heat, redness and swelling and are truly a protective attempt by the body to remove the injurious stimuli and to initiate the healing process. Bottom line, a little bit of inflammation is great as it is part of the natural healing process. You turn it on and, once the job is done, inflammation turns itself off.
Then there is CHRONIC inflammation usually caused by poor life style choices…smoking, drinking, drugs, obesity, over work, under sleep, etc. It never turns off, it is aging us quicker and is the precursor to a myriad of diseases, which include heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, arthritis and diabetes to name a few.
With Whole Body Cryotherapy, the flame through the entire body is reduced and in some instances, put out.
The cold Cryotherapy temperatures trigger your body to release anti-inflammatories throughout your blood finding and soothing the affected inflamed areas. These results may be explained by vasoconstriction at muscular level, and both the decrease in cytokines activity pro-inflammatory, and increase in cytokines anti-inflammatory.
When Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) was first developed in Japan in 1978, it was specifically conceptualized for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory, autoimmune disease. While incredibly successful for that specific issue, it quickly became apparent that inflammation throughout the body also responded to the Cryotherapy.
WBC is the only known modality which accomplishes this extraordinary response in the human body, and without any collateral damage to the body…meaning no adverse side effects such as can be caused by drugs or surgery.
iceland Cryo is the first and only WBC office in Palm Beach County and The Treasure Coast. We are located at the County Line Plaza in Tequesta. For additional information, please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or call (561)315-3434.
